They’ve followed each other around the country and now they’re setting down roots and starting their lives together in Chicago. Kacie and Jeff are easy to be around and easy with each other, together with their wonder-pup, Daisy, they make a great team. We explored their neighborhood around Lincoln Park and found a lot of lovely places to celebrate them. Check out a few favorites from their session.
Sunrise is my new favorite time to be out and about in Chicago; the streets are peaceful and full of optimism and the light on the skyline can’t be beat. I couldn’t have shared this sunrise with a more wonderful couple than Jackie and Rob. They express their love so easily and they make such a great team as they plan their wonderful Winter wedding day in Chicago. Check out a few favorites from their sunrise session with their pup.
They fit so naturally into each other’s lives, it feels like it’s always been that way. Alison and Greg are such kind warm people, it makes so excited to be there to capture all the moments of their wedding day…but I have to wait…until next year. Spring finally sprung into action in Chicago and we got to explore some wonderful spots around Chicago together, ending in the dreamy light of north pond in Lincoln park. Check out a few of my favorites below.
On a bright January morning, surrounded by the laughter of her sisters and girlfriends, Amy waited patiently. The room fell to a hush as her Father walked in to see his daughter dressed and ready for her wedding day. A warm look of pride came over his face as he walked into the room and then tears overcame them both. Above the rooftops, Parker was waiting to see his bride for the first time, they were surrounded by the historic part of the Chicago skyline. Tears continued to fall and the day was off to a wonderfully emotional start. Old Chicago was the was the setting for this wonderful black tie celebration and it almost felt like we’d traveled back to the 1920’s as the celebration unfolded all around us. Check out a few favorite images from this classic old Chicago wedding.

They couldn’t wait to tell their families their good news, Nancy and Justin planned a special reveal with each of their families sharing their surrogate was officially pregnant with their baby…but that wasn’t the only surprise.
Their long journey through infertility took them down the road of multiple attempts at IVF at several different clinics only to be told pregnancy would never happen for Nancy. This painful road lead them to the emotional, challenging but hopeful road of surrogacy. Still their were challenges, but they were finally matched with a wonderful, benevolent surrogate for their child. While moving forward on that timeline, Justin and Nancy chose to start a new timeline with themselves suggesting a change in protocol they had researched. After multiple failed attempts, Nancy was finally pregnant. Justin and Nancy planned to move ahead with the surrogate as well; now they were officially pregnant…twice! Nancy and Justin are due in May and their surrogate is due one month later; an incredible story of love and hope. You can learn more about their amazing journey at Nancy’s blog: http://www.hellobee.com/author/mrs-starfish/
I can’t tell you how thrilled we are for Nancy, Justin and their growing family! Check out a few favorite photos from Nancy and Justin’s maternity session in Salt Lake City along with their lovely surrogate.
