A quick summary
Beginning my career in design, video production and marketing offered me an opportunity to learn more and more about photography and work alongside some of the best photographers in the business. I’ve had a personal passion for making pictures since childhood when family friends gave me my first film camera. Today, photography remains not only my personal passion, but my career as well and I love what I do!
My life
When I can’t be found at my favorite haunts in and around Chicago, I love exploring the towns, wineries and natural wonders along the Great Lakes coastline. I’m blessed with almost 5 years of marriage to the greatest woman God could have matched me with. I’m obsessed with almost anything that has to do with my Scottish heritage and I’m constantly planning my next trip to visit family and friends in Scotland.
My business
My true love is capturing connections between people, and specifically through lifestyle portraits and weddings. I’m known for creating beautifully designed coffee table albums, announcements and custom greeting cards featuring my lifestyle photography. My career has also offered me opportunities to photograph consumer products, architecture, interiors and commercial projects.
My style
The best description of my style is natural, intimate, and real. I shoot with a contemporary, photo-journalistic approach and try to make my subjects feel as comfortable as possible to let the emotion come through.
